Get fit before getting a Pt??? Whaaaaaat?

“I am going to get fit first, then il work with a PT.”

Now to me this sounds backwards but then I realised, that person doesn’t understand my business.

Personal training with me isn’t about yelling at you to give me 10 more press ups on your toes. So it is my job to educate and help people understand what I do.

I’m a highly qualified and experienced PT. I take a course (usually 2) a year to develop my skill set further. Iv been a PT for 13 years. Iv personal trained all age groups. I have worked with my former school to train a small group of pupils that were struggling with themselves, I have taught over 60s classes, worked with pre and post natal women and former athletes.

My job is to get you fit in a safe effective way.

I make sure your form and technique is correct, advice and prescribe exercises, motivate, educate and listen to my clients.

I’m more than just a Personal trainer, I can be a friend, a therapist and someone to hold you accountable.

If you “think” you need to get to fit first before getting a Pt, how are you going to go about doing that?
Do you know how many reps you need to do, the weight, the sets, rest periods?
How do you know if your doing the Exercises correctly?
Do you know what exercises you like and which ones to do?
Do you know how the machines work and how to set them up for your body?
Do you know what order to do exercises? Do you know about warming up and cooling down to prevent injury?

Can you push yourself, I mean really push yourself? What if something hurts when exercising?

A Personal Trainer does all that and so much more.

As a corrective exercise specialist and advanced care in pilates instructor, i assess my clients posture and movement patterns. I give home work to my clients that will improve muscle balance, coordination and activation of weak muscles.

These programmes then compliment our sessions and give you the tools to progress yourself towards your goals.

And yes it does cost to have a PT, but if your serious about your goal (and have the funds) you will invest in you.
Ladies… how much does getting your nails, hair, eyebrows etc done cost.
Men… how much does it cost to go to barbers? Buy those expensive shoes, clothes etc
You feel better having these things right? We invest in our appearance.

As a PT I will help you look better too, in your clothes, naked, with or without nails and makeup on. Il help you feel better about yourself day in day out, increase your confidence, self esteem. Hey il also throw in a load of health (mental and physical) benefits too. Why not invest in your own health and commit to a healthier lifestyle with the help of me by your side.
